Located on the ‘Coteau des Merveilles’, the second highest point in the girond 110 meters above sealevel and on the same plateau as Saint Emillion and Pomerol in Bordeaux and producing low intervention and chemical free wines for the last 400 years, Chateau Le Puy lives up to its name and reputation.
Emilien is named after one of the oldest known ancestors of the Amoreau family and this wine is a expression of all their plots. The soil type is clay, silex and limestone provinding excellent acidity levels. No synthetic treatments have ever been used, it is certified biodynamic and uses only indigenous yeasts. the wine is raised in barrel for 24 months.
