Description
Château Cos Labory, Saint-Estèphe Grand Cru Classé
vintage: 2016
varietals: Cabernets, Merlot
Quite elegant, with vanillin-wrapped black fruits, and although quite subdued there’s a fine sense of purity. On the palate plenty of richness and silky texture, with a svelte chocolaty character.
The name of this classified Gran Cru estate comes from its geographical location on the Cos hill and the name of François Labory, who was the first owner.
This eighteen-hectare (44.5-acre) vineyard is blessed with Quaternary gravel soils and exceptional drainage.
